Providing Opportunities Through Youth Golf
Kurt Kitayama is an American professional golfer and in March 2023, he won the Arnold Palmer Invitational on the PGA Tour.
Kurt Kitayama grew up an athlete and just like any other athlete you have to start somewhere.
When he was a young athlete seeking guidance, he turned to his local community for assistance. He found a program that helped guide him in the right direction for both his college education and his career.
How his foundation works - The foundation aims to help juniors and aspiring professional golfers with access to tournament scheduling, recruiting consulting, funds for tournament expenses with educational information about the proper steps to playing collegiate golf and beyond. The foundation's money will support and enhance opportunity for college golf recruitment. It will also provide participants with the proper guidance in hopes of achieving their ultimate goals on and off the golf course. With your help we can further promote junior golf within the community by providing juniors with the funds they need to pursue their collegiate golf dreams and beyond.

The foundation aims to create an affordable and enriching experience through dependable leadership and community support. We strive to instill the values of the game by helping aspiring players create lifelong opportunities with respect for the game and what it can represent in their lives. About Kurt Kitayama
American Professional Golfer Kurt Kitayama was born in Chico, CA, a few miles north of Sacramento. Clifford and Rumiko Kitayama, his devoted parents, have supported him since the beginning. His brother, Daniel Kitayama played golf as a young athlete too. During their free time, you could find them on the green at Butte Creek Country Club. You could also find Kitayama on the basketball court and believe it not, golf was not his first pick. He played basketball for Chico Senior High School and his AAU team, Chico Blazin Heat. It wasn’t until his junior year of high school that Kitayama turned his sights onto the golf course full time.
His college years brought him to the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he graduated with a degree in Finance. He turned professional in 2015 and won his first professional title on the Asian Development Tour at the 2018 PGM Darulaman Championship in Malaysia for golf. In 2018, he won the Mauritius Open on the European Tour which is now the DP World Tour. After turning pro he traveled all over the world playing on tours from Asia, Australia, China, Japan, to South Africa.
And in 2023, Kurt won the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
”The Kurt Kitayama Foundation was formed in appreciation for the support I received locally at the beginning of my professional career. Golf has provided me with the opportunity to further my education and pursue my lifelong dream of winning on the PGA Tour. I hope this foundation will provide juniors and aspiring professionals the opportunities to pursue their goals while guiding them with the proper steps to reach the highest level."
